The Women’s Seminar ministry (WS) of Hope Fam was designed to serve the restoration of women in mission fields. For this purpose, the central team and the local team of mission fields work closely together. The central team provides training for the local team, and the local team experiences and learns the ministry. Eventually, the local team in the mission field will stand alone as an extension of the WS ministry. This whole process is called a PASS model for the transfer and the settlement of WS.

Asia

In Asia, the hard work of long-term missionaries provide a strong foundation for the restoration of women in the field through the WS ministry of Hope Fam. There are currently two extensions of WS in Asia, one in Russia and one in Mongolia. Even though we like to keep the identity of our partners anonymous for protection, we deeply appreciate their creative and efficient support for the local people and the Kingdom of God. The transfer to the Russia extension began in 2016 and the establishment of the extension took place in 2018. It was the first extension of WS in Asia. The extension in Mongolia was established in 2018 as well. Both cases of transferring WS were possible through the partnership of long-term missionaries who had a wonderful relationship with the local people. There are currently five extensions in the process of transferring in Asia: Philippines, Indonesia, Nepal, Laos and Thailand. Some of the partners have experienced the services of WS and some are ready to host WS with translated materials.

United States of America

Pastor Marco Guzman and his wife Silvia Becerra are our partners in Chicago. Their main ministry is the church planting for the Hispanic community in the city. WS ministry is one of their ways to restore immigrant families in need. They are experienced leaders of WS and have been partners since 2009 in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. The Chicago extension experimented with a small,intimate group format. Leaders of the community were very excited when they found WS to be an effective tool in bringing hope to Hispanic immigrant families.

Latin America

These extensions use “Seminario de Mujeres (Women’s Seminar in Spanish)” as their ministry name. The original first 4 extensions that were planted with the support of ANC continue to grow in number and influence under the leadership of Pastor Jorge Guzman and his wife Estela, both of which are from Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. Hope Fam has been providing mentoring for them and continues to build friendships to encourage more extensions. Now there are 8 extensions of WS in Latin America and they are growing continuously under the leadership of their own extensions.
